AIAA UAP Integration and Outreach Committee to Host​ to Host Collaborative, Technical Workshop at ASCEND 2023

The AIAA Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Integration and Outreach Committee is holding a Hardware Factors Sub-Committee meeting at ASCEND 2023 on Sunday, October 22nd. 
 In recent years, elements of the U.S. government have officially stated that UAP represent a safety of flight issue and may pose a challenge to U.S. national security. The meeting agenda is devoted to facilitating a technical workshop on UAP detection, characterization, and evaluation. Industry experts will consider the development and deployment of sensor hardware, system firmware, data analytics, and applications of machine learning to the problem. The workshop aims to be the start of an on-going collaboration to develop reference system architectures and best practices for collecting observational data on UAP.
