David Burstein, MD MS is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician and practices adult Primary Care as an Assistant Professor at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Burstein has expertise in physician work environments and physician well-being, medical decision-making, and hospital quality and safety. Before he began at Rush University, Dr. Burstein spent two years at Northwestern University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow where he received scientific investigator training in quantitative research methods and medical social sciences.
Dr. Burstein joined the AIAA UAP Integration and Outreach Committee to improve work environments for aerospace personnel and to gain experience in industry-wide transformation through research and policy. He brings occupational well-being expertise, hospital safety experience, and he contributes a medical-scientific approach (i.e., critical evaluation of emerging scientific knowledge to address complex issues) to the UAP problem.
